Celeste & Jesse Forever

2012. 89 minutes. Rated R.

Did you think I would wait for you to go first?

I have to admit, when I ordered this for the our library, I was waiting in anticipation for the Fed Ex guy. Intrigued by the trailer and always won over by the amusing Andy Samberg and the charismatic Rashida Jones (eek, what a cute couple!). Throw in a flaming gay (Elijah Wood) wearing uber trendy eyewear and it was on!

The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

2004. 108 Minutes. Rated R.

“Meet me…in Montauk…”

No shocker that this gem came from the great Charlie Kaufman. All of his movies have changed the way I feel about things, this one included. Our leading man Jim Carrey is forever cast as the funny, wacky, guy… but once in a while he gets a meaty role, and he never disappoints. Even when he’s depressing.

“ Adults are, like, this mess of sadness and phobias.”
