Pirate Radio
2009. 135 Minutes. Rated R.
“These are the best days of our lives. It’s a terrible thing to know, but I know it…”
It was 1966 and music pretty much would never get any better then it was right then… overall anyways. I mean sure, good music continued to be made after ’66, I’m not arguing that. Something about that particular time though… it’s like you can tell WHY it was being made. They had something to say. Guess what though…. the man didn’t want them to say ANYTHING.
“The good news is the engine has exploded and we’re all going to die.”
X-men: First Class
2011. 132 Minutes. Rated PG-13.
“I can’t feel my legs…”
Easily the best of the X-men films; sadly though, that’s really not saying too much. Quite possibly the most amazing comic book series of all time has been utterly trounced and Hollywooded up by the likes of huge movie studios, big budgets, and lack of caring for the details behind these stories. This film, however, was a mutated step in the right direction.
