24 Hour Party People
2002. 117 minutes. Rated R.
Quote: The smaller the attendance the bigger the history. There were 12 people at the last supper. Half a dozen at Kitty Hawk. Archimedes was on his own in the bath.
There are moments in the history of music that things really changed. Some of them everyone talks about all the time: Elvis swinging his hips, The Beatles on Ed Sullivan, Woodstock. One that people don’t talk about nearly enough is also one of my favorites. The Sex Pistols played a show in June 1976. The crowd was 42 people. This show changed British music… FOREVER. This is that forever story.
